The Cowichan River is a world renowned fly fishing destination with a healthy run of Chinook, Coho and Chum salmon going into the late fall. There is also an amazing Steelhead fishery from December into March. A healthy population of resident Cutthroat, Brown and Rainbow Trout also inhabit the river which can be caught year round.
